James Walton
President of The Collaborative Brain Trust
Mr. Walton leads the strategic and executive operations at CBT including administrative support, marketing, and business development. His role covers both the community college and university divisions for CBT, and he has managed numerous projects for some of the country’s largest institutions. His background spans from IT to student life to economic development to governance to fundraising and many other areas. He also consults with edtech companies on their product/market fit, pricing, and strategic positioning.
Prior to this role, Mr. Walton has consulted in numerous academic engagements, covering universities, community colleges, and government organizations, in addition to serving in leadership roles at large R1 universities.
